DAY - 04?Maldives - Colombo ? Kandy
Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage
Established in 1975 by the Wildlife Department and National Zoological Gardens, this orphanage is for baby elephants weighing 60 kgs. It is the world?s first elephant orphanage and one of its kinds. Spend some time here and feed the baby elephants, nurse them and love the ones who have lost their mother. These are fed with gigantic bottles and bathed in the rivers.
DAY - 05 Kandy
Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel and set off for a city tour of Kandy which includes the Temple of Tooth Relic and the Royal Botanical Garden.
Temple of Tooth
Also known as Dalada Maligawa, this Temple of the Tooth, is home to the tooth relic of Lord Buddha. Built within a royal palace, this temple is an architectural marvel. Inside, one will be amazed to see the Aluth Maligawa, Audience Hall and World Buddhism Museum. ?
Note: Since this is a pilgrimage site for Buddhists, one needs to wear fully covered dresses to keep the dignity of the place.
Peradeniya Botanic Gardens
These stunning gardens once belonged to the Kandyan Royal family. Spread over an area of 60 hectares, it has a fine collection of orchids, royal palms, cannonball fruit tree and 40m-high Burma bamboo. Another big attraction here is the giant Javan fig tree grown in the great lawn. It has a colossal central trunk and a canopy of branches that look like an umbrella. ?

DAY - 06?Shopping in Colombo
Enjoy a hearty breakfast in your hotel and then leave for shopping. Colombo is a great destination for shopaholics.

Some of the most popular markets in Colombo are Pettah Market (Gold & Jewellery), Kala Pola Art Market (paintings and photographs) and Good Market (Eco Health products). Colombo is famous for gem stones, tea, handcrafted furniture, jewellery, clothing, spa products. Also look out for handcrafted elephants, demon masks and treasure boxes. While on a shopping tour, also take out some time to talk to the locals and get a feel of the Sri Lankan life.

DAY - 07 Depart for Colombo
After a hearty early morning breakfast, proceed towards the airport for a departure.
