Ramanathaswamy Temple
This Dravidian styled 12th century temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is an architectural marvel housing long pillared passageways with intricately carved colonnades. It is believed that the Shiva Lingam in its sanctum was built by Goddess Sita with sand and was established & worshipped by Lord Rama.
Adam?s Bridge or Ram Setu
This 48m long bridge has its roots in the famous Hindu epic, The Ramayana, where it is described as the bridge built by Lord Rama?s monkey army to march to Sri Lanka.
