Hampi Bazaar
This vibrant village market is the pulsating heart of Hampi. A splendid bazaar in the past, this little market with its traditional pavilions, still keeps up the customs of the long-lost Vijayanagar Empire. Virupaksha Temple
This 7th century Shiv temple predates the Vijayanagar Empire and is one of the oldest functioning temples in India. Its 50 meter tall, nine-tiered gateway, leads to the main courtyard containing various smaller shrines.
Vitthala Temple
An exquisite piece of art, this 16th century Vitthala Temple, is one of the finest attractions of Hampi. Renowned for its spectacular stone chariot and the 7 pillared hall; Vitthala Temple is a marvel of architecture.
