Lighthouse Beach
A blend of shimmering sands, blue waters, palm fringes and frothing waves; this beach takes its name from the candy-striped lighthouse soaring from its craggy headland. Hawa Beach
Located just north of Lighthouse Beach, Hawa Beach is a favourite with day-trippers. Gorgeous sands, frothy waves and delectable sea fare are the highlights of Hawa Beach.

Samudra Beach
This rocky beach is less frequented and is therefore much quiet and relaxing. Dotted with palm groves and a pretty mosque, this serene beach is a dream come true.

Rock Cut Cave Temple
Set amidst banyan-shaded grounds near Vizhinjam harbour, this small shrine houses one of Kerala's most ancient rock-cut temples. The unfinished statues of Lord Shiva & Goddess Parvati are the major attractions of the temple.

Vellayani Lake
This freshwater lake, around 7kms from Kovalam, is a scenic delight. With water lilies abounding its surface, the lake is a smidgen of pretty colors. Velayani Lake is also a venue for snake boat race during Onam
